2011

In 2011, MRBI participated in a designer showhouse in Philadelphia. A designer showhouse is a public exhibition where multiple interior designers are invited to independently transform different rooms or spaces within a single, often high-end or historic, home. After months of design work, the curated home opens to the public for tours, with all ticket proceeds typically benefiting local charities. We were thrilled to be asked to tackle one of the home's most prominent rooms and decided to blend traditional and contemporary elements to give it a unique feeling. We had a reproduction walnut dining room table custom fabricated, purchased a set of vintage dining chairs which we had reupholstered, papered the walls in a cheerful Brunschwig & Fils floral wallpaper, mounted a modern chandelier, and introduced art and accessories that helped transform the space into something that would feel authentic and delightful for the public to experience.
