Our clients fell in love with a rambling 1898 farmhouse in the heart of historic Chevy Chase Village. Having worked with them on a previous project, we knew they would want us to maintain the house's inherent charm and quirks. With that directive in mind, we reworked and renovated the small, dated kitchen so that it would accommodate their busy family of five. We made certain to build a space that was in proportion to and aesthetically aligned with the rest of the house. We also renovated the powder room and carved out a more robust mudroom and bathrooms with the same goal in mind. The introduction of lively paint colors and nostalgic wallpaper in key locations further helped our clients make the house their own.
